There&#8217;s at least one form of this statement in each of the four gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John); here it is in John:<br><br><strong><em>Truly, truly, I say to you,\u00a0unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it bears much fruit.\u00a0The one who loves his\u00a0life loses it, and one who\u00a0hates one&#8217;s life in this world will keep it to life eternal.\u00a0If anyone\u00a0serves me, he or she must follow me<\/em><\/strong>&#8230; (John 12:24-26a)<br><br>I think I&#8217;m supposed to take a next step into this actual truth.
